FBICAAA Hosts East Boston Soccer Outreach Event

Allison Sjolund | Published on 6/24/2021

The FBI Boston CAAA is making a difference!

On Friday June 18, 2021, the FBI Boston CAAA hosted an event in East Boston with a youth soccer group, the FBI, and the East Boston Police Department, bringing together members of law enforcement and the local community.  Over sixty kids (ages 5-15), their parents, and their siblings joined us on the American Legion Playground in East Boston.

We played soccer with the kids and did a variety of fun crime scene activities, including fingerprinting analysis and blood-spattered t-shirts.  Everyone had an amazing time!

The FBICAAA also donated two soccer nets to the youth group.

Thanks to:

  - Camilo Hernandez for organizing the event;
  - Shawn Dolan for providing crime scene activities;
  - Wegmans for providing meals;
  - Ocean Spray for providing juice; and
  - all our member volunteers!

Stay tuned for more youth events…

We need your help!
One of our promises to the FBI Boston Office is that the FBICAAA will do outreach with youth groups throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Maine.  We rely on members like you to fulfill this promise.  Can you

- Help us identify appropriate youth groups (preferably inner-city)?
- Help us plan an event?
- Volunteer to help staff the event?

The FBI Boston Citizens Academy Alumni Association is a nonprofit organization separate and apart from the FBI.
