This compelling session presents the Global Investigations (GI) team at Uber and the responsibilities of what the team does to keep the platform safe for communities around the globe. The team is made up of experienced law enforcement officers/agents/military personnel and technical investigators with various backgrounds. We will discuss internal matters we investigate, and external matters where we work together with law enforcement to assist with arrests. This year we have worked on human trafficking matters, carjackings, elderly fraud, and organized fraud rings. We will discuss in detail some of our more significant wins over the past year as well.
