FBI Boston Citizens Academy Alumni Association
The FBI Boston CAAA continues to make a difference with local kids! Approximately fifteen kids in Manchester, NH participated in "FBI Week" at the Manchester Police Athletic League camp. At the request of the FBI Boston CAAA, FBI Boston personnel spent their mornings the week of August 9, 2021 building connections with and inspiring these preteens and teenagers (ages 9 through 15). The kids: - learned about what it takes to be an FBI Agent; - went through a version of the FBI's physical fitness test; - learned about the FBI HAZMAT team; - learned about evidence response; - talked about social media risks; and - got an inside look at the FBI Boston SWAT team. FBICAAA Board Member Shawn Dolan and her assistant Abbey Pellegrini spent a day with the kids, speaking to them about how to discover an interpret evidence - specifically the invisible kind of evidence. Shawn took the students through a UV light crime scene to illuminate the invisible evidence, and showed students how to develop their own fingerprints and shoe prints! The kids ended FBI Week with a pizza party sponsored by the FBICAAA. At the end of the week, the students told FBI COS Sue Durkin that they "couldn't decide what the best part [of the week] was because they loved it all"! The Manchester Police Athletic League is a non-profit organization that connects police and kids through after-school and summer programs in downtown Manchester, New Hampshire.
The FBI Boston Citizens Academy Alumni Association is a nonprofit organization separate and apart from the FBI.
